If you become unwell over the bank holiday period or need medical advice when your GP surgery is closed, GP out-of-hours services can be accessed by calling NHS 111.

Practices also offer extended access appointments which are available between 6.30pm – 8pm weekdays and 8.30am – 6.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays. These appointments can be booked through your own GP practice or through NHS111 when your practice is closed.

Patients with COVID-19 symptoms should continue to use the Coronavirus online service 111.nhs.uk/covid-19 as the first port of call.

It’s also really important for people to continue to dial 999 in a medical emergency.
