Last week, senior leaders and clinicians from United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) and Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) met to discuss the next steps regarding the delivery of two services which were agreed through public consultation in 2021. They proposed:

• ULHT will run the UTC service.
• All aspects of the Integrated Community/Acute Medicine Service will be delivered through a collaboration between ULHT and LCHS.

Their proposals were approved by the NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), which has the benefit of retaining a local team with local knowledge for both services, improving care for the people of the county. Both Trusts will now work together to develop a joint proposal for delivering all aspects of the each of the service specifications.
