Time is running out to book your place for the Lincolnshire Voluntary Engagement Team (LVET) ‘Strength in Numbers’ Conference 2025, which takes place on Wednesday 14 May 2025 at Bishop Grosseteste University, Lincoln, LN1 3DY.
With the theme of ‘Strength in Numbers’, this full-day event celebrates how together the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector makes a real difference to the lives of people in Lincolnshire, and explores the power of collective impact across health, social care and wellbeing services.
The packed conference features practical workshops, a marketplace and networking, and two inspiring keynote speakers:
Ed Wallis, Director of Policy and Engagement at Locality. Locality has developed the ‘Keep it Local’ approach, supporting the local public sector to build long-term partnerships with community organisations. 18 councils have endorsed Locality’s Keep it Local principles and joined the Keep it Local Network, and West Yorkshire recently became the first Integrated Care Board to adopt the approach.
Stephanie Laing, Comedian and Community Organiser. When she first became a community organiser, Stephanie discovered that having a sense of humour was a powerful tool in the fight to make real change on social justice issues. Sharing stories from her career as a community organiser and comedian, she hopes to show that we don’t have to sacrifice our happiness in order to make the world a better place.
