Community Reporter Training

Become a Community Reporter and gather stories of lived experience to support positive change in health and care in Lincolnshire

Community Reporters are people who independently gather stories about their own and others’ lived experiences to learn from the insights.

Stories may be included in countywide thematic analysis as part of the Measuring What Matters project, and/or used at an organisational level to inform community-led change or service evaluation.

Community Reporters may also upload stories, with people's permission, as part of a shared ‘story library’ for Lincolnshire hosted by People's Voice Media.

Community Reporter training is usually a two-day course, held in person. It is delivered by a local network of accredited trainers using methods, tools, and techniques developed and supported by People’s Voice Media.

People’s authentic stories have power.

The collection of lived experience stories is providing valuable insights and themes for development across health, social care and public policy in Lincolnshire.

Through the Measuring What Matters project, inclusive Story Review Panels are carrying out thematic analysis and using the findings to influence decision-makers across health and social care, helping to shape things for the better.
