Community Reporter training – two-day course, in person

15^th October and 24^th November in Sleaford.

Community Reporting is a storytelling method that is rooted in lived experience, developed by national charity People’s Voice Media.

It supports people to use digital technologies to tell their own stories, in their own ways, with a view to influencing positive social change.

The two-day Community Reporter course is a practical and interactive set of workshops focused on story gathering.

It will include:

An introduction to the ethos and principles of Community Reporting
Practical sessions to try out different ways to support people to share their stories via interviews, monologues or quotes; and using written, visual or audio media.
Co-creating a Responsible Storytelling guide to underpin your approach, including consent, safety and wellbeing considerations
Guidance on how to log in and use the Community Reporter website to upload and share stories
Action planning and discussion to help you identify how to apply Community Reporting in your role or project

Places are limited to 16 so book early.

We are aware that both these courses are in Lincoln which may not be helpful for some of you. Please drop me a line if you would like to do the training but can’t get to Lincoln – and let me know whereabouts in the county you are based.

We would also love to hear from partners who might be up for hosting a course in return for a number of places for your community members, volunteers and/or staff.

Please do get in touch if you have any questions about the project or the training.
