Community Reporting – Autumn Training Dates

Community Reporting is a storytelling method that is rooted in lived experience.

The It’s All About People personalisation team and LVET are delighted to be able to offer another two-day Community Reporting training course on 15th October and 24th November 2026 in Sleaford.

The Community Reporting method uses digital technologies to support people to tell their own stories, in their own ways via peer-to-peer approaches. It then connects these stories with the people, groups and organisations who are able to use the insights within them to make positive social change.

Community Reporting was developed by national charity People’s Voice Media, who are supporting our local trainers to offer this learning for more people across Lincolnshire.

The course will include:

  • The ethos and principles of Community Reporting
  • Practical sessions to try out different ways to support people to share their stories, whether via interviews, monologues or quotes; and using written, visual or audio media.
  • Co-creating a Responsible Storytelling Guide to underpin the approach, including ethics, consent, safety and wellbeing
  • An introduction to techniques for analysing stories for themes and insights.
  • Community Reporting is for anyone passionate about the power of lived experience to inform services, research, and policy, and to help change institutions, systems, and society for the better. Participants must be available to attend both training days.
