Here in Lincolnshire, we’re transforming the way health and care are shaped - together.
And by ‘together,’ we mean the health, care, and wellbeing workforce working in partnership with the people of Lincolnshire.
We’re therefore delighted to launch the Lincolnshire Integrated Care System Co-Production Framework: our shared commitment to doing with people, not to them.
This isn’t just another document to flick through, then stick on a shelf. It’s a guide to building a culture where the voices of people, families, carers, and communities are at the heart of every decision.
Health and care services across Lincolnshire are under pressure. Demand is rising, resources are stretched, and health inequalities persist. To tackle these challenges, we can’t just do more of the same.
We need new energy, fresh ideas, and stronger partnerships. That’s where co-production comes in.
Co-production brings together the insight, creativity, and lived experience of people who use services with the expertise of the health and care workforce. When combined in the right way, this has the power to transform services from the inside out.
The Lincolnshire Co-Production Framework is a flexible, practical guide to help us embed meaningful co-production across all parts of the system.
The Framework was itself co-produced, by people with lived experience, community leaders, and health and care professionals.
It’s not about one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, it provides principles, tools, and examples that can be adapted to fit your service, team, or community.
When we co-produce, everyone benefits. Co-production leads to:
The simple answer: everyone.
Commissioners, practitioners, carers, community voices, system leader - we all have a part to play in making co-production real, and health and care better.
Whether you’re designing a service, delivering frontline care, or shaping policy, the framework can guide and inspire your work.
Let’s make co-production our default way of working, not the exception.
And let’s work together to ensure that, in Lincolnshire, it really is all about people.
