ReSPECT Policy Launch drop-in events

Get up to speed with the refreshed Lincolnshire ReSPECT policy

The Lincolnshire ReSPECT policy has been refreshed - and it’s all about making personalised emergency care planning clearer, quicker, and easier for everyone involved.

To help staff feel confident using the updated approach, a series of friendly, informal ReSPECT Policy Launch drop-in events have been scheduled, where you can learn what’s changed and what it means for your role.

What’s new - and why it matters

The refreshed policy means more staff can start ReSPECT conversations, not just specific roles. Both registered and non-registered colleagues across health, social care and VCFSE settings can now contribute, helping conversations happen earlier and in places people know and trust.

Clinical sign-off is also simpler, with no requirement for GP sign-off, reducing delays while keeping the right clinical oversight in place. A single, standardised template across Lincolnshire supports consistency, safety, and continuity of care.

What each drop-in event will cover

These sessions will:

  • Talk through the key policy changes
  • Share practical tips for real-world ReSPECT conversations
  • Answer your questions in a supportive space
  • Point you to templates, training, and local resources
