An event report by Caty Collier, Senior Change Manager, It's All About People Personalisation Programme
This week Alison, Jenny, and Caty from the It’s All About People team went along to the Lincolnshire Care Association (LinCA) Member meeting to talk about personalisation, strengths-based approaches, and Our Shared Agreement.
It was part of a whole day of presentations and discussions for people involved in providing care services, whether in residential homes or domiciliary care in people’s own homes.
The theme of the day was marketing, but as the delegates heard, building positive relationships with people and their families/carers is a key part of a marketing approach founded on quality, reputation, and trust.
We spoke to care providers in the room about taking innovative approaches to face-to-face marketing by connecting with local community organisations, as well as those already using tools such as One Page Profiles to explore what’s important to the people they care for.

Using real stories from Lincolnshire people we were able to bring some of this to life too to demonstrate the impact working in this way can have.
We also took the opportunity to encourage delegates to complete the Continuing Healthcare (CHC) survey as well as asking them to share it with their colleagues.
We’re currently working with the NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) team and Lincolnshire County Council’s Adult Social Care team to make the CHC journey better for everyone - and we need your experiences, views and insights.
