Last week, seven new Community Reporters successfully completed their training, marking another exciting milestone for the programme. The two-day course took place in Lincoln 5 - 6 February, hosted by local charity and housing support provider Lincolnshire Employment Assistance Project (LEAP).
This brings the total number of trained Community Reporters to 26 people in just one year, all equipped with responsible storytelling skills and techniques designed to amplify voices, share lived experiences, and help influence meaningful change across Lincolnshire.
The feedback from the latest group speaks for itself:
“Nice group, well-paced information, good tasks and activities that were relevant. Friendly and welcoming.”
“Really interesting and can’t wait to get my teeth into putting it into action.”
Rooted in the Five Foundations of Our Shared Agreement, Lincolnshire’s Community Reporting project focuses on building skills in lived-experience storytelling while developing an online library of ‘Our Shared Stories’.
National charity People’s Voice Media has trained eight local trainers in their three-step Community Reporting model. With support from the It’s All About People Team and the Lincolnshire Voluntary Engagement Team (LVET), these trainers are now sharing Community Reporting skills with people across Lincolnshire, whether they are staff, volunteers, or members of the community.
Everyone is welcome.
More training opportunities will be available throughout 2026, so keep an eye out for upcoming dates.
