Personalised care is not a “nice-to-have”, but a core requirement for high-quality, sustainable care.
Our learning and development programme supports you to significantly build your understanding, confidence, and readiness to apply personalised and strength-based practice with the people you work alongside, and those you support.
Whatever your role, stage of development, or experience, we offer a growing range of courses, workshops, study days, events, podcasts, and videos.
Our programme is all about connecting, sharing, and learning with other health and care professionals, so explore the links below or search our event calendar to see what's coming up and how you can start to connect and build your skills and confidence.
"It was interesting to learn when asking people their preferences and wishes to make sure they are aware of what options are available instead of assuming they know."
"Training supported me to help my patients develop the skills to make decisions about their own care."
"This course is one of the most transformative courses I have been on. I always intend to be compassionate, collaborative, supportive. This course (1 day!) taught me a few key techniques for arranging conversations which genuinely help plan and say things differently so that language and intention align for better outcomes. I'd strongly advocate for funding continuation. The training was excellent."
"I use the training provided by It's All About People, such as Motivational Interviewing and Shared Decision Making, to help improve my working relationship with clients to help them achieve more successful outcomes."
"The Motivational Interviewing training & techniques have positively impacted how I interact with patients & I have amended how I approach people."
"I really appreciated the opportunity to explore motivational interviewing in more depth today. It’s given me a fresh perspective on how I communicate with customers and colleagues. I now see how small shifts - like asking open-ended questions or reflecting back what someone says - can make a big difference in building rapport and encouraging positive change."

Are we measuring what matters — or just what’s easy to count?
This session takes a playful but pointed look at how outcomes and personalisation collide. We’ll explore whether our measures reflect real impact or just system satisfaction, and how small, everyday changes can lead to big shifts in someone’s life.
Come ready to challenge assumptions, rethink your spreadsheets, and maybe even fall back in love with the idea of meaningful outcomes.

Come and join us at the next Personalisation Huddle, where we’ll be hearing, learning and sharing from a group of colleagues and students working as part of the newly named Lincoln Student Health Network, who had an idea…..
We would like to share our experience of introducing personalisation with you. We will share the way all of us can contribute even when things might not always go to plan.
Our project is focused on supporting our Lincoln University Students access care relating to their physical health, starting by looking at increasing the uptake of HPV vaccinations. We have worked with a wide range of stakeholders during the project, and it would be fair to say the project has mushroomed!!!
Have we evoked a little interest/ curiosity – we would love to share our experience of starting small and dreaming big, and how persistence can win through.

What if we designed services like we design apps — intuitive, responsive, and built around the user?
This session explores how digital tools can enhance personalisation… or quietly erode it. We’ll look at the future of care through the lens of innovation, asking how we prepare for big challenges like an ageing population and workforce pressures without losing sight of what matters most: the person.
Expect bold ideas, a few tech-induced existential questions, and maybe a system crash or two (metaphorically speaking).
